This site, located in Fort Point Boston, contains a great deal of under-utilized parking lot. Analysis revealed that this historic industrial district could benefit nearby amenities by providing opportunities for tourism.
Fort Point Arts Illustrative Masterplan, Spring 2015
The concept for this revitalization project was heavily influenced by the confluence of art and nature. A large, sculptural boardwalk transverses the site, offering views across the channel downtown and connecting greenspace across roads. Meanwhile, large swaths of the site have been devoted to ecological restoration efforts that recreate natural gradient progression from forest to shrubland to shore.
